Josh Thrasher
Deputy Executive Director

Josh Thrasher has been a member of the Florida Association of Recovery Residences (FARR) team since February 2021, serving in several key leadership roles, including Field Assessor, Certification Administrator, Director of Certification, and currently, Deputy Executive Director.
In his current role, Josh oversees FARR’s certification, renewal, and grievance processes while providing leadership, training, and operational guidance to the FARR team. He works closely with stakeholders across Florida, including the Department of Children and Families (DCF), Managing Entities, recovery residence operators, and community partners, to advance quality standards and expand access to certified recovery housing.
With an experienced background in the behavioral health and treatment field and as a certified event interventionist, Josh brings a knowledgeable understanding of recovery support services to his work. He is passionate about helping providers achieve and maintain compliance with nationally recognized standards, strengthening recovery housing throughout Florida, and increasing access to supportive, ethical, and effective recovery environments for individuals seeking recovery.
In addition to Josh’s role as the Deputy Executive Director at FARR, he serves the recovery community in several compacities, including; a member of the Florida Certification Board’s Behavioral Health Advisory Committee, The Palm Beach County Lake Worth Recovery Hub Leadership Committee and the National Alliance of Recovery Residences’ Standards Committee.
