Leadership That Drives FARR’s Mission Forward
At FARR, our committees are comprised of highly accomplished and dedicated professionals who serve as the backbone of our mission.
These passionate leaders share the goal of creating positive change for individuals in recovery, supporting our certified providers, and strengthening community connections. Through their expertise and commitment, our committees ensure that FARR continues to provide safe, stable, and supportive recovery housing across Florida, fostering a thriving and compassionate recovery community.
Addresses issues specifically relating to Level IV recovery residences as described in Florida Statute 397.311(5)(d). This committee recognizes and addresses issues which may be separate and distinct from Levels I, II, or II recovery residences, in a solutions-oriented environment, ensuring continuity of care and uniform standards.
Level IV
Responsible for developing, reviewing, and maintaining the organization's operational guidelines and policies. This committee ensures that all procedures align with the nonprofit's mission, legal requirements, and best practices, fostering consistency and transparency in its operations. The committee regularly updates procedures to adapt to changes in regulations or organizational needs and provides guidance to staff and volunteers on following established protocols.
Procedures
Addresses issues related to local zoning regulations that impact recovery residences. This committee advocates for fair and reasonable treatment of recovery residences within local communities and also provides guidance on navigating zoning challenges, promotes understanding of the legal rights of recovery homes, and works to protect residents’ access to safe, supportive environments.
Zoning
Responsible for managing and enhancing FARR’s public image and communication strategies. This committee develops campaigns, builds relationships with media outlets, and promotes the nonprofit's mission, programs, and events to the public. By crafting key messages and ensuring consistent branding, the PR Committee helps raise awareness, attract supporters, and strengthen the organization's presence in the community.
Public Relations
Tasked with identifying, evaluating, and recommending candidates for the board of directors. This committee ensures that the organization has a diverse and skilled leadership team by seeking
individuals who align with the nonprofit's mission and values.
Nominating
Oversees the financial health and sustainability of the organization. This committee is responsible for budgeting, financial planning, and monitoring expenditures to ensure alignment with the organization's goals.
Finance
The Compliance Committee reviews grievances, complaints, or issues related to a certified provider’s conduct, investigates the matters thoroughly, and decides on disciplinary actions, including the possible revocation or suspension of certifications. The Committee's role is to ensure fairness, uphold the organization’s standards, and protect its integrity.
