Angie Sweeney serves as the Director of Operations for the Florida Association of Recovery Residences (FARR), where she oversees the organization's day-to-day operations, organizational systems, financial management, government contract administration, compliance, and reporting. She works collaboratively with FARR's leadership, staff, and community partners to ensure the organization operates efficiently while advancing its mission of supporting quality recovery housing throughout Florida.
Angie brings more than two decades of experience in nonprofit operations, financial management, housing administration, and case management. She began her career providing direct services as a case manager for a permanent supportive housing program serving individuals experiencing chronic homelessness. She later became Lead Case Manager at the Lewis Center's Homeless Resource Center, where she served for five years before transitioning into financial and operational leadership.
During her tenure as Residential Services Director and later as Accounts Payable/Accounts Receivable Manager, Angie administered and oversaw more than $4 million in government grants and private funding dedicated to housing services for homeless adults and youth. She played an integral role in implementing a low-income housing program for individuals with developmental disabilities, collaborated with community partners, landlords, and nonprofit organizations to address homelessness, and managed more than 150 residential leases and renewals throughout Palm Beach County.
Angie holds a Six Sigma Green Belt Certification, reflecting her commitment to process improvement and operational excellence.
What Angie enjoys most about her work is the "paycheck of the heart"—knowing that residents have a stable and supportive environment where they can focus on their recovery. She values working alongside a dedicated team that shares a passion for making a meaningful difference in communities throughout Florida.
Outside of work, Angie is a proud mother of three daughters and a grandmother. Born in Colombia, South America, she has lived in Palm Beach County for nearly two decades and is fluent in Spanish.
