With over four decades of experience in the field of addiction treatment and recovery, Karyn Hurley has dedicated both her personal and professional life to helping individuals break free from the grips of addiction. Her journey began in 1980, when she embarked on her own path to recovery. By 1982, Karyn was fully immersed in the holistic field of addiction treatment, becoming a pioneer in blending traditional therapeutic methods with holistic approaches.
Throughout her career, Karyn has remained committed to developing and implementing comprehensive, evidence-based treatment strategies that address the mind, body, and spirit. As a Certified National Intervention Trainer, Clinical Hypnotherapist, and Holistic Addiction Professional, Karyn has used her expertise to create innovative programs that have been recognized at both the national and international levels. She played an integral role in advancing the integration of holistic nutrition into addiction recovery, receiving accolades such as the Best Practices designation for holistic nutrition programs from the Joint Commission in 2015.
In addition to her work in treatment centers and halfway houses, Karyn has been a driving force in training the next generation of addiction professionals. She co-founded organizations, developed certified courses, and authored multiple books, all with the goal of providing those in recovery with the tools and support they need to lead fulfilling lives.
Karyn continues to serve on various boards, including FATC/EAP-FL and Fellowship RCO, and remains actively involved in shaping the future of addiction treatment and recovery communities.
